Winnersbank 200, revisited

winners9.jpg

As promised… I said before that I would review the WinnersBank200 after returning from Vegas. And as I predicted, I have nothing but great things to say about it.

(check out how it works here before reading on)

I first used the WinnersBank200 on day 1 of my trip. A co-worker of mine was also in Vegas and he hadn’t been to Fremont before so we decided to go over to the Golden Nugget and get some lunch. After eating the $20 buffet (which was only mediocre) we decided to play some 3 card poker. We found a $5 table and started playing.

Dave had won several hands and I wasn’t having much luck. I told Dave “I’m not having any luck so it’s time for me to go…….. ” and after about a 3 second pause “but first I’m gonna do this” and I upped my bet from $5 to $10 on each (in 3 card poker you can make between 1 and 3 bets). It was then that I hit my straight flush (which pays 40 to 1 in the pair plus bet and I’m not exactly sure what the 2nd and 3rd bets pay out)… this was good for over $500. Immediately, I put that $500 chip in the winners bank200. With the key safely placed in my hotel room back at the Luxor, there was NO WAY I could lose that $500 profit during this outing. I would need to go all the way back to my hotel room to get into the handy little safe.

My budget was $500 per day while in Vegas. This would include food, tips, and gambling. I would use the WinnersBank200 on each of my 7 days while in Vegas. On day 2, I won two $300 jackpots on the slots and would immediately put that money in the WinnersBank200 and therefore had $500 essentially to blow.

Later, I would win $1000 on a slotslotwin.jpg and that too would go into the personal safe.

Even while playing craps, I would “go south” (going south means to take winnings off the table and put them in your pocket, this is generally not acceptable in poker but ok in games where you play against the casino like blackjack, craps, and other table games). Everytime I won another hundred I would put more chips into the bank. EVERYBODY wanted to know about the Winners Bank200. The pit bosses would give me an akward stare as I safely stored green chips in my handy little safe. Had I taken 50 of those banks with me I could have easily made $40 a pop right there in the casinos. I explained to curious onlookers what the bank was a minimum of 20 times during this trip.

I cannot stress enough how much I recommend this little invention to ANYONE planning a trip to a casino. I am sure that I will be buying a few as gifts for my family and friends.

Go get yourself one………..

New Original Song – I’m All In – by Tom Meny

This is why the game is so great.

Spitting in the face of the game

Poker, at one time was a gentleman’s game…. and then there was this assclown.

It would not sadden me to learn that someone hit this punk in the face with a baseball bat 18 times. Without poker this guy never looks a female directly in the eyes. He’s a geek and a loser.

Proof that it is possible to sell your soul to the devil

I’ve been watching High Stakes Poker on the Gameshow Network and this guy is a cracker jack. The fact that he won the main event last year is mind boggling. On this season of HSP he not only shows that he has NUMEROUS tells (big speech when he has a monster) but it may be possible that he is not fully aware of the hand rankings? Dunno, but nevertheless the guy somehow is not penniless yet.

Giving Phil Gordon a Little Poker Lesson

I played in a tournament at Ceasar’s on Friday and was at the same table as Phil Gordon. After some friendly chit chat Phil agreed to pose for a picture with me only if I knocked him out of the tourny.
Stay tuned for the next Expert Insight DVD starring Bobostonepony in June.

Of course all of this is bullshit, but it made for a good story. Phil was giving poker lessons about 10 ft away from my seat in the friday tourny. During a break I walked over and politely asked for a picture. He was very cool about it and seemed like a down-to-earth kinda guy. It’s cool when fame doesn’t turn people into dicks….

Real Poker Training

Real Poker Training is VITAL to all intermediate and advanced hold’em players. Todd Arnold (NSXT1 and NSXT2 depending on which site he is playing on) gives you an inside look at being an uber-successful online poker player. Todd has placed in the money in World Poker Tour tournaments and is a regular columnist for Card Player Magazine. Todd Arnold has won numerous big money online tournies and he lets you watch online as he plays them. There is a fee to be a member of his site, but I assure you I recouped that fee within hours of watching his videos. Nowhere else will you get to watch along as a pro player wins a big money tourny. As you are watching he is commenting on his plays and his strategy. As much as I want to keep this site a secret, I know it will benefit you if you become a member.

I told you it was rigged and I told you how to make it work in your favor. In my post “The Bible of Rigged Online Poker” (you can find it below or in the archives) I told you that you have to stay away from a site for 1 month. After you return, you will have the day of your life. Well, I did just that. And… AGAIN, I came up big.

I also told you that once you win big like this, if you choose to cash out you MUST cash out EVERYTHING or you will lose the remainder within minutes. Therefore, I did cash everything out and I am now officially up for the year.

So… Blukkake Poker friends (you know who you are) after a horrible start of the year at my Saturday home game, this officially puts me up $350 for the year.

Now, I have to wait 1 full month before redepositng at Ultimate Bet. At that time, I promise I will post again and I guarantee I will have a big day again.

OFF TO FULL TILT FOR A MONTH!

Goodbye Online Poker

Online poker in the US is slowly dying. And no… It’s not because of the new legislation. As I have told you many many times before, online poker is rigged. It seems that the online gambling legislation has resulted in millions of players migrating to the few poker sites that are still “US Friendly”. However, those sites are seemingly cheating the lo limit players more and more and more and more. Almost blatantly without trying to even hide it. Why? Because you WILL redeposit. YOU HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS!

More and more of my poker playing friends are saying the same thing “I’ve stopped playing online.” Or… “I really haven’t played online in awhile.” Why is this? It’s not as a result of the legislation, because it is still just as easy to deposit to PokerStars, Ultimate Bet and Full Tilt. They are stopping because they too are noticing the merciless series of bad beats, uncanny suckouts, and just fragrant action flops. Eventually, these sites will crumble and there will be a bad taste in everyone’s mouth.

What is the result? Poker will slowly walk off into the sunset and those of us who picked up the game 4 years ago when Moneymaker won the WSOP will slowly retreat to the occassional house game. The magazines will fold, the endless poker shows will stop, and the poker craze will be over. The WSOP will NEVER have as many players as it did in 2006. I WILL BET ANYONE WHO WILL TAKE MY ACTION that the 2007 WSOP will be at minimum 1000 players short of the 2006 series. It will contine to go down from there each year until it settles back down to pre-2004 numbers.

The pros that have become multi-millionaires will slowly dissappear from the public eye. Their contracts will stop, their endorsements will end, and they will end up grinding it out just like they did before 2004.

It’s sad.

Somebody, ANYBODY, create a site that is honest. If you do, you will persevere.

$400 from Full Tilt

I’d like to say thanks to all those who were playing at Full Tilt from about 5am to 6:30am on Saturday morning and contributed to my Christmas gift fund. It was nice to put in $50 and take out almost $400 in little more than 90 minutes. Also, in addition to the $120 I took off Ultimate Bet on Wednesday it will make for a nice Christmas.

Ya ya, i know, it’s not a lot but considering I haven’t won anything online in a couple months it felt kinda good.

Merry Christmas.
