On Tuesday I got a message on YouTube that Glen Hansard had givin me props during their show at the Byham Theater in Pittsburgh, PA for my cover of “High Hope”. I didn’t have any evidence and thought maybe someone was pulling my chain. However, early Wednesday morning I got about 8 more messages from people that were at The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN show saying he mentioned me again.
Although there are probably a hundred albums in between, here is a listing of the albums that got the most playing time in my life…
When I look back, some of these are kind of questionable… but I won’t make any apologies..

I covered a Glen Hansard (Swell Season) song, posted the link on Twitter, and Glen Hansard heard it… liked it, and responded. I guess he liked it enough to tweet about it twice. Glen Hansard is an Academy Award winner, is the lead singer of the popular Irish band The Frames, and currently the lead singer of The Swell Season. Glen Hansard is the star of the motion picture ONCE. Very big day for me.
If you are a singer/songwriter I HIGHLY recommend you see the movie “Once”. It is an indepandant film about a singer/songwriter in Europe. Probably one of the best soundtracks ever.
also, it was pretty cool to wake up this morning and see that both David Choi and Chris Cendana (two very popular artists in the YouTube community) gave this cover song 5 stars.
it doesn’t get much more basic than this
