The best day ever!  OrtoPilot covers a Tom Meny song.

Matt Hutchison of OrtoPilot

For those of you who do not know, OrtoPilot is the band of Matt Hutchison.  Matt is from Manchester in the U.K. and is a huge YouTube success.  His covers have  millions of views on YouTube and he is highly respected by his YouTube musician peers.  More importantly his original music is nothing short of phenomenal and it is only a matter of time before he is a household name.  OrtoPilot has the following YouTube honors:

#34 – Most Subscribed (All Time) – Musicians – United Kingdom
#6 – Most Viewed (Today) – Musicians – United Kingdom

Matt covered my song Over You and posted it on YouTube today.  It was a huge surprise and a huge honor.  He and I have corresponded several times over the past year and he mentioned recently he would someday cover one of my songs… but I didn’t think he was serious!

Anyway, this was tremendous honor.  A few people have covered this song, and I am eternally grateful to them as well.  This one takes the cake mainly because I was a huge fan of Matt’s for awhile now and have even purchased his CD (as well as several of his covers on iTunes).

Now, if this wasn’t enough… as I was reading the comments on his video I saw that David Choi left a comment!  David Choi is arguably one of the most well known YouTube musicians and personalities.  He is known throughout the world and is partially responsible for YouTube’s growth…. that is NOT an exhaggeration.  He has MILLIONS and MILLIONS of views and has 735,936 subscribers!  David Choi is #43 – Most Subscribed (All Time) … yes… the 43rd most subscribed to person on YouTube in all of the world.  So it was a great great honor to see his nice comment.
