Here’s my little retrospective covering the last 3 years on YouTube. You can hear definite improvements in my sound, my playing, and my voice over 3 years. There are a few songs that aren’t included. When I ripped all these videos and put them into iMovie to edit, it was over 2 hours and 33 minutes long. That’s like going to a Bruce Springsteen concert! Too bad I didn’t write 90% of this stuff.

Instructions for joining the pool entitled ‘King of the Hill’

I recently set up an online NFL Survivor Pool at runyourpool.com. The cost is $20 and there will be 1 optional rebuy if you are knocked out anytime by week 5.   ALL buy-ins must be in prior to the start of the NFL regular season (Thursday Sept 9).  (it was a pain in the ass to collect last time).  If you rebuy, your money must be in by the start of games that Sunday.  I can be paid in person, you can mail me the payment, or you can pay with a credit card via paypal (add $0.88 for fees). I have included a paypal button below if you want to pay that way. 

How the game is played.

Each week you select the winner of ANY NFL game. If the team you pick wins, you advance. If they lose, you’re eliminated (but remember you have 1 optional rebuy before week 5). During the regular season you may choose a team as many times as you want. If you make it to the playoffs you may only use a team once. Winner takes all. That’s a lot of money!

If you are interested in joining the pool, please follow these steps:

1. Go to http://www.runyourpool.com/join.cfm

2. Enter the following information:
a. In the Pool ID box, enter the number 6197
b. In the Pool Password box, enter ‘cisco123′ (without the single quotes)

3. Fill out the form information, including a personal username and password. (Rest assured, this information will NOT be sold or utilized for spam email under ANY circumstances.)

4. Make your weekly pick, with the ability to change it right up until the weekly deadline.

Taxi is a service that forwards music from independent songwriters to people in the film, tv and movie industry. The industry reps put out listings for what type of song they need… an example would be: A publisher needs a singer/songwriter type acoustic song for a reality TV show. The members of Taxi then can submit their music, if it is applicable, and then Taxi’s reviewers (typically highly reputable song writers) either forward the submission or reject the submission. It is very difficult to get a song submitted. So, this being my first… I’m pretty stoked.

CONTEMPORARY SINGER/SONGWRITER-type SONGS a la the range of Regina Spektor to Elliott Smith etc., needed by a successful Music Publisher who’s had tons of great Film/TV placements for many TAXI members. Distinctive melodies, emotionally focused lyrics, and a unique vocal style with plenty of presence will get you noticed. Think Grey’s Anatomy-type songs. Universal lyrics with no proper names or place names, please. Universal lyrics are necessary. Vocal and instrumental performances must be top-notch! They offer a non-exclusive, 50/50 split deal – you keep your original copyrights. Broadcast quality needed (great home recordings are fine). Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. It was great to be back on the fields at Bowie High School. Afterwards, my friend Glen (who was recently hired as a football coach at Bowie) took us on a tour of the old locker rooms and gym. A lot has changed, but the smell is the same.

I’ve tried now on 3 different occasions to rent a car with them. You put in your dates, it gives you this “Hotwire Hot Deal” price, you put in all your credit card info and hit submit and then it says “we’re sorry this itinerary is no longer available”. Then, you go back and do it all over and the price is DOUBLED! EFF them and the effing jackleg horse they rode in on. DIE!
