Tomorrow I have an audition for The Voice at 2pm at Reliant Stadium in Houston. I’ll be singing Amos Lee’s “Sweet Pea”. This will be WAY out of my comfort zone as the auditions are strictly acapella. No guitar! Wish me luck!

Scratch one off the bucket list. A memorable night for me.
I will never forget tonight. It was my first real “gig”. It took me about 4 years to do it, but it’s done. If I never played music again, it would be ok. If I died tomorrow I could say my life was complete. But I want to play again… I wanna play a lot more. I felt GREAT up there. I was filled with anxiety and nervousness pretty much all week. I’m talking about SERIOUS anxiety… take a pill kind of anxiety. But when I got up there, looked out into that little crowd and saw SO many familiar faces, that nervousness went away. Thank you SO much, all of you, for that. I’ve got a lot of great friends. I hope that I have either shown you that type of support or can do so in the future.

Thanks to Bral for letting me play for 40 minutes during their set. Scott, it sounded great you did a fantastic job with the PA. You guys rock!
It was great seeing all of you. Especially those of you who I haven’t seen in years. I really hope we can do this again sometime! Maybe next time I’ll have a full band behind me.
Open Mic at Billy’s Ice House in New Braunfels, TX
Last night some friends and I went out to Billy’s so that I could play the open mic contest semi finals. I had a fantastic time and was glad my friends were able to make the drive. I won the contest and now get a gig at Billy’s sometime in the near future.

Welcome, Wade Bowen Classic folks! I’m glad you made it!
For those of you who received my demo CD at the Bowen Classic, thank you very much for dropping by. To be completely honest, I wanted to include my demo CD in the participant’s gift bags in hopes that someone in the “biz” might listen to it.. and like it or have some feedback/advise. But, no matter if you’re in the “biz” or not, I hope you enjoy it and I encourage you to share it with your friends… copy it, upload it, do whatever you want.
I am a singer/songwriter in Austin,TX. I’m jumping into the music thing a little later than most, but I’ve been playing guitar and singing since the age of 10. After a few years of uploading cover songs to YouTube (with almost 2 million views!), I decided it was time to get out and play some of my originals. The 4 songs you received on the demo are originals. The versions are very “un-plugged” or “raw” and I hope to record fully produced versions with full instrumentation as soon as it’s financially possible.
