Online poker cheating exposed.
This is a re-creation of an online game. The hand history, provided by Absolute Poker shows that the player “Potripper” had knowledge of all of the hole cards at the table. Watch the video and see him fold premium hands when others have AA (even before it is their turn to act).
You might say that this is an isolated incident and that the poker sites aren’t the ones cheating. Well, “Potripper” is an employee of Absolute Poker. Read the article

It will be interesting to see the final conclusions on this one. Just as a rogue bank employee could snag your account info and steal, an inside guy at a poker site has ways of cheating the site and players.
In the future, online poker needs to be explicitly legalized in the USA, and have oversight from a regulatory body. Then the tax dollars can come to the USA rather than going offshore, and folks can feel safe about playing online.
Newsh there should be NO way that an employee or anybody else should see the cards. Going back to what I said before when people repeatedly have asked me, “WHY would the poker sites want to cheat you”. My response is, “why WOULDN’T they?”
It’s as lawless for them as the old frontier. The servers are out in Bora Bora or somewhere untouchable. The same rules do not apply. They do not have the Las Vegas gaming commission making routine visits to ensure everything is on the up and up. I assure you, if this guy is doing it, it’s being done elseware. What other sites use this same software? Also, in the article it stated that users reported SEVERAL players that shared the same attributes, so this one individual is not alone.
And…. in the article it states that Absolute Poker is considering pressing charges. They are CONSIDERING? Under what jurisdiction? The server is in Puerto Rico. Online poker isn’t even legal in the US. It would be like a crack dealer taking someone to court because the buyer ripped them off. It’s lawless man.
I think it’s more that people WANT TO BELIEVE it’s not happening. So it is very difficult to argue that it is.
