One Player Per Hand

I would like to get your opinion on this matter. This is an issue that has come up more than once in my home game and one that I’ve made very clear my thoughts on. However, I would like the readers to comment and let me know what their thoughts are on this particular situation.

On at least 3 occasions, one particular player at my home game has advised another player during a hand on how he should proceed with the hand. For example, I go all in, and this third party advises my opponent to “call, he doesn’t have anything” or “you HAVE to call , you have pot odds”. I’ve made it very clear that this was not acceptable and that in a “CASINO” it is against the rules.

Does anyone out there know if such a rule exists or is it simply common poker etiquette? Please comment with your thoughts.
