The Evolution of an Amateur Texas Hold’em Player

moneymaker-chrisBy Tom Meny

So here’s what I’m doing. Like millions of others worldwide I’ve recently become addicted to no-limit Texas Hold’em. After seeing my first WSOP episode on ESPN I was immediately hooked. I went out and purchased a few books, bought a bunch of DVD’s, and did a lot of research on the net. In no way do I consider myself an expert. I’d honestly consider myself an average amatuer. However, I love the game and am getting better every day. What I want to do is chronicle my progress via this website. I want others to interact and hopefully that will help them improve as well. I’d like this to be THE website for the amateur holdem player.

Feel free to E-mail me at any time with questions, suggestions, or feedback.

I plan on having many different resources on this site. These resources include a blog, a podcast, useful links, online poker site recommendations, an advice column (satirical), and eventually i’d like to have interviews with well known poker players.

If you are new to Texas Hold’em and are interested in becoming a student of the game, I encourage you to participate in this site by emailing questions, suggestions, experiences etc. We will respond and if appropriate will post your inquiery on the site.

I also would like to ask that if you choose to join any of the affiliate sites that I have posted you do so by clicking on the links I have provided on the site. I WILL ONLY post links to affiliates that I have good experiences with and that I believe will help YOUR game. If you sign up from my site I get affiliate credits that will be used towards hosting fees, maintenance and promoting bobostonepony.com.
